Many - MANY! - of the match ups were so close that both the stop plates were in motion at the same time. The winner was determined by the slightest edge of their stop plate falling first. Had it not been for those stop plates; if the on-lookers had to decide which shooter won? It would have been almost impossible. There were runs that were that close. It was a close race to the victor's circle. Chad and Jobe kept advancing. Rustin and Nieman also kept winning. Horne and Miller kept moving up. Then Chad was too fast for Nieman. Ralph Horne out shot Miller. The final shoot out was between Chad "The Ranger" Francis and Ralph "Smile When You Say That" Horne. And between the two of them... it was Horne that was just a little quicker on the draw; just a bit faster on the trigger. And he was the "Fastest Gun of the Match".
